The action presence of God
This past weekend at WWC I watched the presence of God come in waves of
healing, joy, restoring hope and trust in lives of so many people, some
of whom were tired, hurt, angry, lost and bitter. As God used Bishop
Harry Jackson to impart spiritual and physical healing, I thought to
myself of how thankful I am to belong to a church who allows the
beautiful presence of God's Holy Spirit to have his perfect way! The
Bible reads 'it's not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the
Lord.' Another passage says; 'expect God build the house, they that
labor, labor in vain.'
Ok I'll go ole school on you now; 'I was born in the fire and I don't
feel comfortable around smoke!'
I realize now more than ever how we all need the action presence of God
in our lives! 'Action presence?' yes! He's not dead, He is alive! This
God we serve is a miracle working God! Just in the last three days at
WWC, three women have been healed of cancer! The name of Jesus is 'above
every other name; 'Action presence?' Yes! The bible declares that 'you
will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover!'
Action presence? Yes! So many people are bound, held prisoners from
drugs, pornography, alcohol, gambling, and so many other addictions, but
the word of God says;' in my name you shall cast out devils.' It's time
for the church in general to wake up and understand that we're fighting
a spiritual warfare. So many of the things we're trying to counsel,
(don't get me wrong, I believe in the ministry of counseling), but there
are some cases that you can't counsel because they are evil spirits
binding peoples live and they have to be cast out!
If we're going to reach the world with the Gospel then we've got to have
a revelation of the 'action presence of God!' Heb.13;8 'Jesus Christ the
same yesterday, and forever.' Mark 16:17-18 'These signs will follow
them that believe...'
The world doesn't need another emblem, symbol, presentation, program, or
story of God, they need the action presence of God! Today God is calling
the people who name the name of God to 'seek Him with all your heart.'
Just like one disciple asked a group, 'have you received the power
since you believed?' Enough of religion talk, I'm calling on the Lord
God of Elijah!
It's a privilege to serve you,
Pastor Lloyd
