God Created You

Written by Pastor Lloyd Bustard on Monday, 20 December 2010. Posted in Pastors Blog

God created you with your own unique gifts, personality, temperament, and abilities. Understand this, the new birth of salvation does not violate or contradict what God has made! It’s true that we all were ‘born in sin and come short of the glory of God,’ but we still were created in His image.  It’s like this; shy sinners for the most part became shy Christians. Funny sinners became funny Christians. Cautious sinners became cautious Christians, and cool sinners became cool Christians (That’s me,LOL)

The new creation does not contradict the new creation. In other words, God does not reverse what he has already done.

The Holy Spirit will help you gain control to master you own temperament. He will give you the power to overcome the effects of sin in your own personality—like pride, anger, or greed. But God will not override His own work. He redeems His work by giving us a new disposition.

This is what happened to Peter. God took this man with his flair, passion, and boldness and moved him in a new direction. Thomas never had the flair, and passion of Peter. He was more of an introvert type. He was more a thinker who asked lots of questions. Peter and Thomas were completely different men before they knew Christ. And after they met Christ they were completely different Christians.  So here’s what I’m trying to say. God’s purpose is to take the unique individuality that He has already created in you and move that in a new direction! There is no other Christian in the world like you!

It’s a privilege to serve you

Pastor Lloyd Bustard

Lloyd was born in Canada, where his parents cared and provided for nineteen children. Miraculously God delivered him and he began ministering under a dynamic, inspirational anointing. This ministry led him to a church in Pascagoula, Mississippi where he met his wife, Pam. They have been married for twenty five years and have three beautiful children. They now reside in North Carolina where Lloyd and Pam pastor World Worship Church. Lloyd is a worshipper of Jesus Christ. This is clearly seen, heard, and felt through the praise and worship songs which he writes and sings.

Thanks. Sometimes I have a challenge with balancing the "bc" personality with the "ac". Same personality, different spirit. This brings a positive perspective to the challenge. Thanks again.
