Choosing Integrity
Integrity is our first priority in seeking to win others to Christ. The
integrity of Jesus was in His words as well as His actions. Look at this
verse;
I Peter 2:22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His
mouth." Sad to say but truth is many times the first casualty of
conflict. What do I mean? This is what I mean; there are times when
telling the truth can get you into serious trouble. When you get into a
situation like that, the pressure to use lies and deception to save your
own skin can almost seem overwhelming. But Jesus used His freedom to
make His choice. In an atmosphere of intense hostility, Jesus was
brought before Caiaphas, the high priest, who asked Him if He was the
Son of God. Jesus answered him plainly. It is as you say...but I say to
all of you; in the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the
right hand of the mighty One and coming on the clouds of Heaven.
"Matthew 26:64."
Pilate asked if He was the king of the Jews. Again Jesus replied
plainly; "My Kingdom is not of this world"...(though) you are right in
saying; "I am a King". John 8:36-37
Most of us will never face a situation where the physical cost in
speaking the truth will be anything like what it was in the experience
of Jesus. But there are many ways in which we face the same pressure to
twist words to suit an audience.
We must always remember that our first responsibility is integrity in
our actions and words. That involves being faithful to the truth even
when that truth is not popular!
It's a privilege to serve you

I totally agree with you Pastor! If the truth sets us free, then what does lying do? It binds and hinders us. Why be bound by telling lies when you can be free in Him by just being truthful.
