who we are…

We are a group of individuals whose mission starts with creating an irresistible atmosphere that lures the hearts and minds of those who are searching and who desire to grow in their relationship with God. By creating such an atmosphere we are painting the setting for an unforgettable experience that will leave you satisfied but never content—
wanting to grow more,
wanting to give more.

Together we want to impact the world around us. Our desire is to reflect a Christ that is relevant and reachable to those who are hurting, lost, and seemingly without hope.
It’s by looking at God’s character and our world’s condition that we see that our purpose is clear and our calling is urgent. We know that our Christian walk doesn’t revolve around us working through our own issues week after week, service after service, and living the good life just to get our foot into Heaven. But here at Citizen we are devoted to self-denial, service, and sacrifice.

We are committed to helping you draw closer to God through His Word and through experiencing His presence. Whether you question God or want to grow in relationship with Him, Citizen is the place for you. We promise that when you join us for a Wednesday night Bible Study you will not be bored to tears as if listening to an hour-long lecture from your Anthropology professor. Because it is not our goal to teach you to understand Christ, we want to see you experience Him.

Now, here is where

We believe that at this age you are at a pivotal point in your life and the decisions you are making right now are shaping your life forever (Sidenote: Need examples of such “life-shaping decisions”? [1] Career decisions---working at the Drive-thru isn’t cutting it now that you’re out on your own…or wanting to be out on your own [2] Deciding who to marry and call yours forever [3] Deciding if this “church thing” is going to stick—because youth group was so much fun and now that you’re out do you really want to move into “big church”?) So, since you’re at such an important time in your life we consider you to be important to the church…really important (convincing enough?). We want you to get connected and more importantly stay connected—because once you do finally find “the one” and have small ones of your own, our hope is for them to grow up under the spiritual covering of this church. By connecting with Citizen you will never be alone with the issues facing you and in the decisions awaiting you.
